Nat's skill and strength in their hands were developed in their former life as a journey-level carpenter with Carpenter's Local 1664 in Bloomington, Indiana. Both have served them well as a massage therapist.
After moving to Athens, Georgia, Nat continued work as a carpenter. But the economy had different plans. Nat says, "I only left carpentry because the economy forced it, but it was the best thing that could have happened (the whole one door closes and another opens thing)." Nat began to think about massage therapy and discovered the Athens Institute for Massage was within walking distance of their home. When Nat to talked to them, they quickly developed a rapport with the director.
Nat says, "Once I got started, it was a perfect fit; I devoured the information and I've never looked back. I love massage because it helps people in whatever way they need help; from physical discomfort to emotional stress to spiritual and soulful needs. I can't see myself doing any other work. Massage has allowed me to meet incredible people."
Nat is trained in medical massage. They also offer beginning Cranio Sacral therapy, Bowen therapy, Reflexology & Sacred Temple Lomi massage. Nat practices both Usui & Karuna Reiki & is a master practitioner in both.
Their passion for massage explains why a large percentage of their work is from repeat business.
